The Creator Income Map

Every take-rate and payout lag printed in the map on the homepage, and the figures the net-on-$100 calculator derives from them.

← Back to the map
  • Subscription platforms' take-rate (OnlyFans, Fansly, Fanvue)
The remaining 20% is retained by Fanvue as Platform Fees
    Fanvue Creator Terms

All three named platforms publish the same number, so the cell is one figure rather than a range. onlyfans.com and fansly.com both return HTTP 200 with zero extractable content, which is why neither is the primary here.

20%Corroborated — independent publishers agreeChecked 2026-07-29Fanvue read from its own creator terms. OnlyFans and Fansly serve empty shells to crawlers, so both were taken from independent publishers and cross-checked — four for Fansly, two for OnlyFans.
  • OnlyFans, Fansly and Fanvue: hold on new earnings
The standard Pending Period is seven (7) days, but this may be extended up to twenty-eight (28) days
    Fanvue Creator Earnings & Payouts

Seven days is the floor on all three, not the whole wait: Fanvue may extend to 28 and then takes up to ten business days to process, and Fansly's own full journey is reported at 7–10 days. The map prints the published hold; the platform pages print the tail. The hold is quoted as applying to ALL new earnings, not to subscriptions only, which is why the PPV row cites this same document rather than a parallel one.

7 daysCorroborated — independent publishers agreeChecked 2026-07-29Fanvue from its own payouts policy; OnlyFans and Fansly from independent publishers. All three state seven days.
  • PPV and mass-DM take-rate (OnlyFans, Fansly)
Fansly takes a flat 20% commission on all creator earnings, including subscriptions, tips, PPV messages, and custom content sales
Fansly commission rates (Sozee) · page dated 2026-05-19

Neither platform publishes a separate PPV rate. The cell says 20% because the sourced clause is explicitly all-revenue, not because the desk assumed parity.

20%Corroborated — independent publishers agreeChecked 2026-07-29The subscription take-rate is stated to apply to all revenue types, PPV included — quoted directly rather than assumed.
  • Custom-video take-rate (Clips4Sale, ManyVids)
For each Completed Custom Order, the Creator earns a Commission equal to eighty percent (80%) of the Custom Payment, and the Platform retains the Service Fee equal to twenty percent (20%) of the Custom Payment.
Clips4Sale — Custom Video Services & Conditional Payment Terms

A custom is the best-paid thing either platform sells: 20% against the 40% both take on a standard clip. Clips4Sale attaches a condition the rate does not show — no commission exists at all until the video is delivered and passes compliance, and an undelivered order is refunded in full at thirty days with nothing payable. The rate is 20%; the risk is that the work can be done and still earn zero.

20%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Both platforms publish a commission table and both were read directly. Each pays the creator 80% on a custom order — a better rate than either gives on an off-the-shelf clip, which is the finding.
  • Clip-sale take-rate (Clips4Sale, ManyVids)
Unless we state otherwise for a special promotion, our fee is calculated as 40% of total Customer Payments to your Store for Content sales and 20% of the total Customer Payments to your Store for tips.
    Clips4Sale Terms of Service

Neither platform publishes a volume or membership tier that improves this — the desk searched both help centres for one and found none, so 40% is the rate at every size. Tips are cheaper on both (20%) and a custom is cheaper again (20%): on these two sites the platform charges most for the thing that is easiest to pirate.

40%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Read from each platform's own terms and commission table. Both keep 40% of a clip sale — double the subscription lane's cut, and the widest published take-rate on the map.
  • Clip and custom lane: time from sale to withdrawable money
Payouts are monthly and happen on the 7th of each month for the previous month's sales revenue.
    Clips4Sale — frequency of payouts
    • Payouts are held for 7 days in arrears. This just means you are paid a week later than the week during which the earnings were made.
      ManyVids — Payout Information

Two things sit outside this range and neither is published as a number. ManyVids reserves an additional discretionary holdback for chargeback cover, with the percentage and duration set case by case. Clips4Sale customs do not start the clock at all until the video is delivered and approved. Both are quoted in full here rather than folded into the figure, because a range that quietly absorbed them would be a guess wearing a citation.

7–37 daysPrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Derived from each platform's published cadence, arithmetic shown. ManyVids pays weekly on Wednesday with earnings held seven days in arrears, so a sale lands 7–13 days later. Clips4Sale pays monthly on the 7th for the previous month: a sale made on the last day of a month waits only to the 7th of the next, which is 7 days, while a sale made on the 1st waits out the whole month plus 7 — about 37. The map prints the union of the two.
  • Tips and wishlist take-rate on Throne
All checkout fees are paid by the gifter, never the creator.
Throne — why do you charge service fees

There is no corroborating source for this row and there should not be: 0% is Throne's own rate, stated in Throne's own words, and no second publisher can confirm another company's fee schedule. The contrast platform is Buy Me a Coffee, which charges the creator a flat 5% — "we only apply a 5% platform fee per transaction, which means you get to keep 95% of your earnings" — and it is named here as a comparison rather than as corroboration, because it corroborates nothing about Throne. 0% is the creator's rate, not the cost of the transaction. Throne charges the gifter 9.75% on a cash gift or payout item, 7% on a physical gift and 0% in its partner store, and adds processing of 2.9% + $0.30 on physical items or 3.9% + $0.30 on payouts, plus 1% on any non-USD payment. So a fan pays visibly more to send you the same money. The comparison row is Buy Me a Coffee, which does it the other way round at a flat 5% off the creator. Ko-fi is widely reported at 0% on tips and 5% on commercial sales, and is NOT cited here: its pricing page returns 404 and its help centre 403, so there is no readable document to stand behind.

0%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Read from Throne's own help centre. The creator-side rate really is zero — every charge in the flow is levied on the person sending the gift, not on the person receiving it.
  • Tips and wishlist: time from gift to money in hand (Throne)
    arrives in 1-3 business days
Throne — how do I set up payouts

The fastest lane on the map, and the only one where the wait is a transfer rather than a policy. It is not free at the small end: a payout under $30 carries a $2 fee, and the US-only instant option costs $1.99 under $100 or 1.9% above it unless the balance was fan-funded. Throne states no fixed minimum, but says the floor varies by country.

1–3 business daysPrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Read from Throne's own payout documentation. Payouts are requested on demand rather than run on a cycle, so the lag is the transfer time.
  • Cam take-rate (Chaturbate, Stripchat)
    Conversion Rates: Tokens Conversion Rate Total Payout 100 .05 $5.00 1000 .05 $50.00 10,000 .05 $500.00
Chaturbate — how do I convert my tokens

This is the one cell on the map the platforms did not hand us. Chaturbate publishes no broadcaster split anywhere in its help centre — the only percentage it does publish is a 20% AFFILIATE commission, which is a different thing and is the number that gets miscited as the model's share. Stripchat publishes four figures on a single page: over 55% of user spending, then about 60%, then 70%, then over 75%, each by widening what counts as the denominator. Only the first describes cash paid as a share of what fans spend. Both platforms do publish the same creator-side token value, $0.05, and Chaturbate publishes what a wire buyer pays for one. Two published numbers make a third, and that third is the only cam figure on this site.

from 37.5%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Computed from Chaturbate's own two published numbers, because neither platform publishes a split. Chaturbate credits a wire-transfer buyer at $0.08 per token and pays the broadcaster $0.05 per token, so $0.03 of every $0.08 stays with the platform: 37.5%. Wire is the cheapest way a fan can buy, so this is the FLOOR — on card packages the fan pays more per token, the broadcaster still gets $0.05, and the platform's share rises.
  • Cam: time from a token earned to money sent
Pay periods are from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the 31st (or last day) of each month. … Payments are sent out within 7 business days of the pay period ending.
Chaturbate — how do I get paid

Three things can stop the clock and none of them is in the range. Chaturbate tokens must be manually converted before any payment generates — earning them is not enough. Changing your payment settings on a Stripchat Monday or Tuesday cancels that week's payout outright. And both platforms set minimums by method that are far above the lane's floor: $200 on Chaturbate for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USDC or a FedEx cheque, $500 on Stripchat for an international wire. Below the minimum the money does not move at all, for any number of days.

2–25 daysPrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Derived from both published cadences, arithmetic shown. Stripchat pays weekly on Tuesday for the Monday-to-Sunday window, so a token earned on the Sunday lands two days later and one earned on the Monday waits nine. Chaturbate runs two periods a month, the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to the end, and sends within seven BUSINESS days of a period closing — a token earned on day one of a period waits the fourteen days left in it plus nine to eleven calendar days for seven business days to pass, which is 23 to 25. The map prints the union at its widest, 2 to 25.
  • Net on $100 — a cam token payout, Chaturbate
All purchases are credited at $0.08 per token. (A wire transfer of $1,000 will be credited 12,500 tokens)
Chaturbate — how do I buy tokens

The best case, not the typical one. Wire is the cheapest token price Chaturbate publishes and it requires a $250 minimum purchase, so most fans buy by card at a higher price per token while the broadcaster's $0.05 does not move — which pushes the real figure below $62.50. Two independent publishers put the 100-token card package at $10.99, which would make the same $100 worth about $45 to the broadcaster, but Chaturbate does not publish its card prices where they can be read and we will not print a figure off a screenshot. $62.50 is what the platform's own documents support.

$62.50Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Our own arithmetic on two of Chaturbate's published figures: a fan sending $100 by wire is credited 1,250 tokens at $0.08 each, and 1,250 tokens convert to the broadcaster at $0.05 each, which is $62.50. Chaturbate's own worked example uses the same numbers — a $1,000 wire buys 12,500 tokens.
  • Fanvue retires the 85% rate — cost per $100 to an affected creator
The 85% earning rate offered to creators joining Fanvue in 2022 has come to an end and the platform is now transitioning to its standard 80% rate
Fanvue — earning rate changes for creators · page dated 2026-05-04

A rate a platform advertised to recruit you is not a rate you keep. This is the cleanest example on the site of why every figure here carries a date: the 85% was true, was published, and stopped being true without the creator doing anything.

$5.00Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Our own arithmetic on Fanvue's own announcement: a creator who kept $85 of every $100 now keeps $80, so the change costs $5.00 per $100 earned. It hits only the cohort who joined in 2022 on the promotional rate; everyone else was already at 80%.
  • Apple's 30% lands on Patreon's iOS payments — cost per $100
Creators need consistency and clarity in order to build healthy, long-term businesses. Instead, creators using legacy billing will now have to endure the whiplash of another policy reversal — the third such change from Apple in the past 18 months.
Apple tells Patreon to move creators to in-app purchase (TechCrunch) · page dated 2026-01-28
    • 30% commission on in-app purchases and subscriptions, but this drops to 15% for a subscription that has been ongoing for more than a year
Patreon and the Apple tax (MacRumors) · page dated 2026-01-28

Two publishers, no primary — Patreon's own creator communication on this is not readable from here, so it is carried as corroborated and the deadline of 1 November 2026 is stated as reported rather than as a fact we checked against Apple. The reason it is on the map at all: this is a cut a creator can be charged by a company they have no contract with, on a platform that itself takes 10%.

$30.00Corroborated — independent publishers agreeChecked 2026-08-07Apple's in-app-purchase commission applied to $100 of iOS in-app earnings that previously carried none. It falls to $15.00 per $100 once a given member has been subscribed more than twelve months, and to zero if the fan pays through the mobile web instead of the app.
  • Kickstarter bans a category, then reverses — cost per $100
We are removing the new mature content guidelines and reverting back to our previous guidelines.
Kickstarter — an apology, rethinking our mature content guidelines · page dated 2026-05-19

The line worth keeping is the reason: Kickstarter says the rules were changed because its payment processor required it. That is the mechanism behind most sudden adult-content policy shifts, and it means the platform you signed up with is not always the party making the decision.

Not a rate changePrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07There is no per-$100 figure and we are not inventing one. A category ban does not change a rate; for eight days it removed the whole category, which is either 100% or nothing depending on whether a given project was in scope. The entry is here because the changelog logs what moved, and this moved twice.
  • What the creator keeps on a subscription, PPV, custom-DM or paid-chat sale
the standard Creator Earning Rate is 80% of gross revenue from Paid-for Services, with the remaining 20% retained by Fanvue
    Fanvue Creator Earnings & Payouts
80%Corroborated — independent publishers agreeChecked 2026-07-29The inverse of the sourced 20% take-rate, and stated in that form by the documents themselves rather than only derived from them.
  • What the creator keeps on a clip sale
Creators on Clips4Sale receive 60% commission on all clip sales & 80% commission on all tips (tributes/donations).
Clips4Sale — payout percentages (creator help centre)
60%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Stated as a keep rate by both platforms' own creator documentation, in exactly these words.
  • What the broadcaster is paid per cam token
Tokens convert to cash at a rate of $0.05 each.
    Chaturbate — increasing your income

A flat payout against a token price that moves with package size is why neither platform can state a single percentage. The broadcaster's side never changes; the fan's side does.

$0.05Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Both platforms publish the same creator-side token value in their own help centres. It is the only hard number in the cam category.
  • What the seller keeps on a worn-item sale (FeetFinder, FetishFinder)
You keep 85 percent of every sale on Standard, or 90 percent with Premium
    FetishFinder

Four other sites in this lane advertise 0% commission and charge a membership instead, and only one of the eight the desk read publishes that membership price before you sign up. A 0% headline with an unpublished monthly fee behind it is not a better rate; it is an unquotable one.

85%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-07-28Both sites publish the same two-tier structure and the sourced sentence states it in full: 85% on Standard, 90% on Premium. The cell prints 85% because Premium's price is not published anywhere on either site, so the higher rate cannot be reached by a seller without agreeing to an unstated cost. FeetFinder's own body copy quotes the 90% figure alone, which is the number that ends up repeated everywhere — it is the Premium rate, not the default one.
  • Referral and revshare: what the platform takes from referral income
5% of the Referred Creator Earnings for a period of 12 months from the date of the Referred Creator's registration
Fanvue — Creator Referral & Affiliate terms

Five percent for twelve months is remarkably consistent across the lane — Fanvue, Clips4Sale and xHamster all publish exactly that, and Fanvue caps it at $50,000 per referred creator. Two things make this stream unlike the others on the map. It is the only one where your income depends on somebody else continuing to work, and the twelve-month window means it decays to nothing unless you keep recruiting. Chaturbate's published 20% is a different product again: it pays on referred USERS' spending, not on a referred creator's earnings, and it is the figure most often miscited as a broadcaster's revenue share.

Not stated in any programme's termsPrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07Read from Fanvue's own referral and affiliate terms, the only primary document in this lane that states a rate. It sets out what the referrer EARNS and is silent on any fee deducted from it, so the take-rate cell says the terms do not state one rather than inferring a zero from a silence.
  • Licensing and distribution take-rate (xHamster FapHouse)
Create your exclusive Fan Club Amaze your fans and earn 68% off video sales and re-bills
    xHamster — creator programmes

The rest of this lane publishes nothing usable and one part of it inverts the deal entirely. Pornhub's Content Partner Program — whose terms ARE fully public — does not pay the creator a licence fee or a share at all: you supply the catalogue, Pornhub supplies traffic, and Pornhub takes roughly 50% out of your own affiliate programme. Adult Empire Cash publishes a $50 minimum and a monthly cadence but reduces its actual rate to the word 'generous'. Per-1,000-view figures for the big tube sites circulate widely and every one the desk chased traced back to two SEO pages with near-identical wording, so none is printed here.

32%Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07xHamster publishes a creator-side share of 68% on Fan Club video sales and re-bills on an open page, which puts its cut at 32%. It is the only operator in this lane that publishes a creator-side number at all.
  • Licensing and distribution: payout minimum, cadence and hold
    How to earn with xHamster
    xHamster — creator programmes

The one operator in the lane that DOES publish payment terms is Adult Empire Cash, at a $50 minimum paid monthly — but it publishes no rate, so a creator cannot use the two together. Between them the lane manages to publish half a deal each.

Not publishedPrimary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-08-07xHamster's creator programme page publishes its revenue shares, its token value and its price band, and publishes no payout minimum, no cadence and no hold period anywhere on the page. That is an absence in the one document in this lane that otherwise tells you the most.
  • Net on $100 — a subscription sale on OnlyFans, Fansly or Fanvue
The remaining 20% is retained by Fanvue as Platform Fees
Derived from the 20% take-rate row on this page

The same figure for all three platforms, which is the point: on a straight subscription sale there is nothing to choose between them on price. What differs is the hold, the payout floor and the discovery, and those are separate cells.

$80.00Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-07-29Our own arithmetic, shown in full: $100.00 gross − $20.00 platform cut (20%) = $80.00. Nothing is added for payment processing because none of the three states a separate processing charge to the creator on a standard bank transfer; your own bank may still charge to receive an international wire.
  • Net on $100 — a PPV unlock on OnlyFans or Fansly
Fansly takes a flat 20% commission on all creator earnings, including subscriptions, tips, PPV messages, and custom content sales
Derived from the PPV take-rate row on this page · page dated 2026-05-19
$80.00Primary — the platform's own documentChecked 2026-07-29Our own arithmetic: $100.00 gross − $20.00 platform cut (20%) = $80.00. The sourced clause states the cut applies to PPV messages by name, so this is the same rate rather than an assumed one.

What we could not read

Published rather than buried. A platform that serves an empty page to anyone checking its fee is telling you something, and it belongs beside the figure it made us source second-hand.

OnlyFans
onlyfans.com/terms, Help Centre

HTTP 200 with an empty page shell — the fee clause is not readable by a crawler. Every OnlyFans figure here is therefore third-party and cross-checked, and the reader is told where to confirm it in-account.

Fansly

ManyVids — resolved 2026-08-07, kept on the record
mv-support.knowledgeowl.com help articles, manyvids.com/Creators/

On 2026-07-29 the old help host returned a non-existent-site error and the creators page read as an empty shell, so ManyVids went into the map uncited. Re-checked 2026-08-07: the help centre has MOVED to help.manyvids.com and publishes a full commission table, and the shell was an age-verification wall rather than a dead page. Every ManyVids figure here is now primary. The failed attempt stays published, because a reader who saw an uncited cell last week is owed the reason it changed.

Ko-fi
more.ko-fi.com/pricing, more.ko-fi.com/gold, help.ko-fi.com, ko-fi.com/gold

The pricing page returns HTTP 404 and every help URL returns HTTP 403. Ko-fi publishes no fee documentation this build can read, so Ko-fi is not cited anywhere on this site and does not appear in the tips row — even though its rates are the most widely repeated in the lane. On 2026-07-29 the same pricing URL served an empty shell; it has since become a 404, so this got worse rather than better.
