Is there something better than OnlyFans?
Not on the cut. The OnlyFans alternatives that will host explicit content at scale, Fansly and Fanvue, each take 20% of every dollar a fan spends, exactly as OnlyFans does. You keep $80.00 of $100 on all three, so switching between them changes your net by $0.00. The platforms advertising a smaller number either will not host explicit content, or move the fee onto the person paying you.
That is the whole answer, and the rest of this page is the evidence for it. We probed 11 platforms on 29 July 2026. Seven published a fee figure we could read. Four published nothing readable at all, which is its own finding and gets its own section.
What leaving OnlyFans actually costs you
Before the comparison, the number the comparison leaves out.
Your subscribers do not move with you. There is no export, no forwarding, no transfer. A fan who pays you on one platform has to find you somewhere else, create a second account, enter card details a second time and choose to pay again. Each of those steps loses people.
So the honest way to read any alternatives table is as a subtraction. A platform that takes 5% less pays you $5 more per $100. If moving costs you a fifth of your paying subscribers, that same $100 becomes $80, and the better rate has bought you a smaller number.
The 20% in the example below is ours and it is an illustration, not a measurement. No platform we probed publishes what share of subscribers survive a migration. Substitute your own figure before you trust the total.
The arithmetic
The point is that the subtraction exists and the listicles never run it.
There is a second number nobody publishes here either. Not one of these platforms states how much traffic it sends a creator, so there is no sourced way to compare what a smaller platform costs you in discovery. Anyone ranking alternatives by audience size is estimating.

Six subscription platforms with a readable fee, side by side. Two of them will not host explicit content, which is stated in the table rather than buried, because for most people reading this it is the deciding row.

Read the bottom row before the top one. Fanvue, Passes, Patreon and Exclu publish their own numbers, so those figures come from the company. OnlyFans and Fansly serve pages that contain no fee text a crawler can read, so their figures are third-party and corroborated, which is the same standing they have in our OnlyFans take-rate breakdown and our Fansly comparison.
Among platforms that will host explicit content, the cut is identical
The platforms that take less than 20%, and what they charge instead
Three platforms in the table quote a smaller number. Each one costs something the percentage does not show.
Patreon takes 10%, and will not host explicit work. Its guidelines prohibit "works depicting sexual activity between real or hyperrealistic participants." Real human nudity is allowed on an Adult/18+ page, behind the paywall, visible only to paying members, and the public-facing page has to stay free of nudity. That is a real option for a nude-but-not-explicit creator and no option at all for most people arriving at this page. The 10% is also a floor rather than a total: the pricing page adds "payment processing, currency conversion, and payout fees, and applicable taxes."
Passes quotes two different numbers about itself. The homepage says "Passes takes just 10%." The creator terms say "We take a 20% fee of all credit/debit Sales." Both were live on 29 July 2026. The same page pair disagrees about payout speed, too: the homepage advertises "instant payouts," while the terms commit to paying "bi-weekly within thirty (30) days of the end of each such bi-weekly period." Passes also prohibits content "deemed by a reasonable person to be objectionable, profane, indecent, pornographic," so the fee question is academic for an explicit creator.
Exclu's 0% is a paid subscription, and its free tier charges your fans. The homepage sells one sentence, "Start free with 15% commission, or go premium for 0% commission." The pricing page prices it. Free costs $0 and takes 15%, plus a 15% processing fee "added to the fan's checkout total." Pro costs $39.99 a month or $239.99 a year and takes 0%, with "standard payment provider fees may apply."
The homepage also says "Fans always pay a 15% processing fee." The pricing page attaches that fee to the free plan specifically. Two pages on the same site, two different answers, both live on 29 July 2026.
So Exclu's 0% is not a rate. It is a break-even.
Exclu Pro pays for itself at about $267 of monthly sales, against Exclu's own free plan
Compares Exclu Pro monthly ($39.99) against Exclu Free (15% commission). Against a 20% platform the crossing is lower, about $200 a month.
Below roughly $267 a month, Exclu's free plan costs you less than its Pro plan, and the free plan is the one that adds 15% to your fan's checkout. Above it, Pro is the cheapest arrangement on this page by a distance, because the percentage stops growing and the $39.99 does not.
Whether that works depends on something no fee table can tell you. If you send your own traffic and your fans are already committed, Pro at high volume keeps more of your money than anything else here. If you rely on impulse subscriptions from platform browsing, the free plan puts a surcharge at the exact moment of payment, which is the worst place to put a cost.
Who is OnlyFans' biggest competitor?
Fansly, on every measure we can source. It is the closest thing to a like-for-like replacement, taking the same 20% and leaving you the same $80.00 on $100. It is adult-native, so nothing about what you make has to be reclassified, and the signup path asks you the same questions OnlyFans does. The trade is the withdrawal floor. Fansly publishes no single figure for it, and independent publishers report anything from $20 on Paxum to $100 or more on wire, depending on the method and the region you withdraw to. We printed that disagreement rather than averaging it into one clean-looking number in the full Fansly comparison. Neither company serves its fee text to a crawler, so both figures here are third-party and corroborated rather than read from the source.
Fanvue is the one worth knowing about for a different reason. It spent years marketed on an 85/15 split, and that rate is over. Its own help centre states that "the 85% earning rate offered to creators joining Fanvue in 2022 has come to an end and the platform is now transitioning to its standard 80% rate."
Fanvue's creator rate moved to the same 80% everyone else pays
Both series on the same 0-100 scale. A flat series prints its number and draws no line.
Most pages still ranking for this query quote Fanvue at 15%. That number came from somewhere real and it is now out of date, which is a good demonstration of why every figure on this site carries the date we checked it.
Fanvue's other cost is time. Money you earn sits in a pending period of seven days that "may be extended up to twenty-eight (28) days," and only then does the withdrawal request begin, which Fanvue aims to process "within ten (10) Business Days."
On Fanvue, a worst-case dollar is earned today and spendable about six weeks later
Worst case, not typical. The standard pending period is 7 days; 28 is the stated ceiling. Ten business days drawn as 14 calendar days.
Fanvue will host explicit content, but only if you declared it at verification. Its moderation policy says creators "must truthfully declare whether they intend to upload any explicit content" and that users "are not permitted to upload explicit content if they have not declared this intention during KYC checks." Getting that checkbox wrong at signup is not a small administrative problem.
What nobody publishes
Four of the eleven platforms we probed publish no fee figure that can be read
without an account. ManyVids is the sharpest case. Its support site, the one every
comparison article still cites for its payout percentages, no longer exists. The
page mv-support.knowledgeowl.com/help/what-are-the-payout-percentages-on-mv
returns a 302 redirect to app.knowledgeowl.com/error/non-existent-site. Google
still indexes the old article and search results still link to it. The host does
not serve it, and has not been serving it long enough for the redirect to be the
site's standard error handler rather than a transient fault. Every post currently
quoting a ManyVids split is quoting a page that is gone, which is worth knowing
before you make a platform decision on the strength of it.
LoyalFans, JustForFans and Ko-fi returned shell pages with no readable fee text on every URL we tried, including terms and help centres.
We have seen numbers for all four in other people's comparisons. We are not reprinting them, because we cannot show you where they came from, and a confidently wrong percentage is worse than an admitted gap.
Two more absences worth naming. Fanvue's payout policy refers to "the minimum threshold applicable to your chosen withdrawal method" without saying what that threshold is. And Fanvue's legal documents, which are otherwise unusually detailed, contain no policy on AI creators or AI personas at all. The only mention of AI anywhere in them is a moderation signal, "whether content has been generated by AI." A platform widely marketed to AI creators does not say in writing that AI creators are welcome.
Does any platform pay gay, trans or male creators differently?
No, in the fee documents, and this is the answer for the whole alternatives cluster rather than a line we repeat in every article. We read the Fanvue creator terms and earnings policy, the Passes terms, the Patreon pricing page and content guidelines and the Exclu site, looking specifically for any term conditioned on a creator's gender, sexuality or category. There are none. The cut, the hold and the payout floor are written the same way for everybody, and where a platform does distinguish between creators it does so on verification status and declared content type rather than on who the creator is. If that changes at any of these platforms, it changes in a document we can quote, and we will date the change.
The difference that does exist is audience, not arithmetic. JustForFans is described by several third-party comparisons as concentrated on gay male creators, with a higher stated commission than OnlyFans. We are not putting a number on that here: the platform serves no readable page, so we have no source for its rate that meets the standard every other figure on this page met.
That is worth stating plainly, because it is the pattern across this whole question. The platform most often recommended to one segment is also the one that publishes the least about what it charges them.

So which alternative should you pick?
If you are adding a second platform, Fansly. Same cut, adult-native, largest of the alternatives, and nothing about your content has to change.
If you are replacing OnlyFans because you already own your traffic and do not need a platform to find buyers for you, Exclu Pro, and only above about $267 of monthly sales. At that volume the $39.99 subscription is cheaper than any percentage on this page and you keep the whole $100. Below it, Exclu's own free plan is the better half of Exclu, and it bills your fans 15% at checkout.
If your work is explicit, Patreon and Passes are not on your list. One prohibits sexual activity between real participants, the other prohibits pornographic content, and no fee is low enough to fix a policy that removes your account.
And if you came here looking for a platform that takes meaningfully less than 20% while doing the same job, it does not exist right now. The lanes where the cut really is lower are not subscription platforms at all. Can I move my subscribers to another platform?
No. No subscription platform we probed offers a subscriber export or transfer. Each fan has to find you again, create an account and re-enter payment details. That is why most creators add a second platform rather than replacing the first.
Do faceless creators make money on these platforms?
None of the fee documents we read condition the take-rate, the payout floor or the hold on whether a creator shows their face. The cut is the same. What changes is discovery, which is an audience question rather than a fee question, and no platform publishes data on it.
Which alternative pays out fastest?
Exclu, which states it pays instantly after every sale with no threshold. Fanvue is the slowest we sourced: a pending period of 7 days that may extend to 28, then up to 10 business days to process the withdrawal.
Why do other comparisons list ManyVids and LoyalFans percentages and you do not?
Because we could not read those figures anywhere the companies publish. ManyVids' support host now returns an error page for its own payout article, and LoyalFans served shells on every URL we tried on 29 July 2026. We would rather print the gap than repeat a number we cannot source.
